AzFW would like to congratulate the fine men and women of The City of Tolleson on the grand opening of their brand new fire station! The 2-story brick building is 17,470-square-feet and will house 27 firefighters. The station includes a state-of-the-art kitchen, work areas, individual dorm rooms, laundry and restroom facilities, a gym, and more. Builders even utilized green technology -- and the building received a LEED gold certification. It's a far cry from the old station, which was crumbling and in danger of collapsing due to structural deficiencies. "We were told by a forensic structural engineer that a strong wind could've taken down our bay, it was that unsafe for our firefighters," said George Good, Tolleson Fire Chief. Can you believe it's 2011 already? Here it is March 14th, and we're wondering where the first quarter of the year went! Things have been absolutely crazy at AzFW lately! We've got a brand new software program to help us run jobs more efficiently, we've hired some bright new faces to help us out, and we're still seeing the record growth from 2010. We weren't sure if the momentum from last year would carry into this year, but we're still firing on all cylinders! 2011 is going to be the best year yet for AzFW!! read full post »

Arizona Fire & Water Restoration, Inc. was proud to support The 100 Club of Arizona's Annual Banquet this year! Held at the beautiful Arizona Grand Hotel, this year's banquet honored the fallen brothers and sisters over the past year. Nine heroes lost their lives, and their families were presented with a folded flag and a rose during a very powerful and emotional ceremony.
