In 2008, Phoenix resident Roxie Mae Harris' home was devastated by a large fire. Unfortunately, a series of personal hardships were stopping her from being able to rebuild her home. Now, Harris and her great grand-daughter are able to count their blessings and move back into their home. It has been completely renovated at no cost to her by a local non-profit called Angels on Call. Arizona Fire & Water Restoration, Inc. was one of the licensed contractors that worked with Angels on Call for this project to help Ms. Harris' family get their home back. The day started out with Mesa Honor Guard presenting the colors, then an amazing National Anthem sung by up-and-coming Arizona star Angela Anne. Shortly following the formal ceremony came the tip off of the 3rd place game - Mesa Police Department vs. Phoenix Fire Department. Phoenix Fire was able to edge out Mesa PD, to take home 3rd place honors. The Championship game featured Maricopa County Sheriff's Office vs. Phoenix Fire Department (Du Bois). After a tough battle, the Phoenix Fire Department came out on top, winning the big trophy and bragging rights for a year! The Suns Gorilla was in attendance for the trophy...
